Antivirus Checklist

1. Set options for highest level of scanning;
2. Set option to automatically scan e-mails;
3. Set option to automatically scan downloads;
4. Set option to run scan automatically;
5. Set option to remove viruses automatically;
6. Set option to automatically check for updates;
7. Check for latest updates immediately;
8. Schedule full scans to run daily;
9. If new install, shutdown all programs and run a scan immediately;
10. Test your antivirus software.

Keep in mind, that antivirus software is only half of the defense you need on your computer.  The other half is a firewall.
